Haiqing Xu is an artist who blends her background in technology, industry, academia, and the arts to create innovative works of human-computer interaction design. Currently pursuing a Master of Fine Arts in Information Art & Design at Tsinghua University's Academy of Fine Arts, she has conducted research as a visiting scholar at Carnegie Mellon University in the United States and the Politecnico di Milano in Italy. Passionate about exploring new ideas, Haiqing continues to push the boundaries of art and technology. With a particular fascination for glass and technology, she has undertaken a series of studies and creative projects that approach the intersection of technology, the arts, and the humanities, including breakthroughs in digital craft and innovation. Her work often explores the potential of new technologies in glassmaking, demonstrating the ways in which technology can transform this ancient craft. Haiqing has presented multiple papers at prestigious computer science conferences, such as CHI, and has secured numerous patents and exhibits showcasing her work.
