Ziyu is a transmedia glass artist, photographer, materials researcher and multimedia writer. Currently based in London, UK. Graduated from Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts in China from 2017-2020 Studying at the Royal College of Art in London from 2021 to the present. He works on creating new modes of viewing that combine glass and multi-materials. His primary focus is on the combination of glass art and photography, using glass practice as a starting point dedicated to the minutiae of life, nature, human livelihoods and community relationships. He explores the relationship between the glass material and itself and embeds it in different fields and spaces. The photographic works are mostly based on social documentary, landscape and humanities, which are integrated with glass. Combining multiple dimensions with glass art creation and glass art design, he combines different practices to create a new way of looking at glass art.
