I am drawn to the way forms morph when in motion. The structural qualities of both animate and inanimate objects form the basis of my practice.
The linear yet kinetic quality of my early drawings informs my current work. I accentuate the sense of 'temporality' by focusing on the linear aspects of the forms I choose. By focusing on the construction of forms, architectural spaces or objects, I attempt to create a sense of presence or absence. For me, glass as a medium extends this possibility. A sense of movement is captured, yet the feeling is that of a frozen moment in time. The pace of output has slowed to a halt. The materiality of this visual language feeds into my own minimalist approach.
