Artwork description: waiting/room (liquid service creature) from 2026 is a collage, a mixed-media installation which can be entered & experienced by the visitor. the glass fountain creates a focus point and frames the space.
Artwork description long: waiting/room (liquid service creature) is a collage, a mixed-media installation, which can be entered & experienced by the visitor. It contains many materials and words as traces in which glass plays a central role. incorporating glass into painting and how both can extend into each other. within the space you find yourself with a painting with windows and holes, dripping leaking as fountain into glass vessels, wondering what rests on what. A sound scape of saliva extends itself through the dripping sounds of the fountain and the consistent background noise of the super 8 projector. not finding itself in traces of language, dream-like spaces, the negotiation of what is too private while being a shared reality state of being. This installation exists in close reference to my thesis / text ‘liquid service creature’. In both you might find yourself with creatures and banastars (as character in writing, drawing, painting and glass). Your own projection might find you, too, here. tension or dissonance when confronted by organically melting structures, into one another and the (in)-distinguishability of those and how that might be weird or strange while so incredibly normal. a stained glass window above the door only really visible from the inside out greets you on your way in and out. i wonder what you come to find here. you do not even have to tell me.
