Artwork description: This work is a self-portrait utilizing digital 3-D technology to render a miniature version of the artist's body that could then be cast in glass and integrated into the landscape. With this work the artist recalls the feeling of laying cocooned in the grass, making images out of the clouds and shifting light. Beginning to sink, feeling gravity tether you to the earth—the kind of moment that makes you feel so small yet so intricately woven into the fabric of existence. Finding solace in insignificance and gratitude for the gift of connection to something greater than ourselves. A fleeting moment of harmony with the universe.
