Whispers in the Dark

Artwork description: In the work Whispers in the dark, day and night meet at a common table. The first part of the table still bears the traces of the day – vessels retain their form, evoking repetitive rituals and the predictable rhythm of everyday life. On the other side lies a white quilt – a sign of the night, which instead of bringing sleep, brings insomnia. It is there that everyday reality begins to transform. The vessels, instead of serving their function, undergo deformation. They twist, bend, and strain, as if taking on the weight of nocturnal ruminations. Each becomes a record of recurring thoughts, intrusive memories, and emotions that the night pulls out of hiding. This is not disintegration, but transformation – the objects lose their utilitarian role and gain a new one: becoming carriers of psychological processes, material traces of inner tension. The installation creates a liminal space where the brightness of day meets the darkness of night. In this encounter, the viewer is invited to a personal confrontation – to recognize in the deformed forms an echo of their own sleepless hours, moments when what is familiar suddenly turns unfamiliar.
