Artwork description: This piece, part of my series The Boundary of Sinking, is an honest expression of my chaotic inner state. The title is a play on the Chinese homonym for “sinking” and “silence,” giving the work a dual meaning.
The form is inspired by a weaving shuttle, a symbol for the relentless passage of time. Inside the vessel, small figures sink into water, becoming voiceless. This physical act of sinking reflects the profound, metaphorical silence of my internal world. Through this work, I explore the tension between a physical descent and the silent state it evokes, revealing the fragile nature of our inner selves.
