WORK PLAY SLEEP – CUT JOIN BURN

Artwork description long: The interior light object combines an authorial glass-shaping and decorating technique in paper molds with exploring light’s impact on the human organism. While the glass components, bearing the unique imprint of burnt-out paper, define the object's body, the internal biodynamic source attempts to simulate natural sunlight. The concept draws on studies examining artificial light's effect on circadian rhythms, cognitive performance, and the psyche. Interior lighting acts not merely as a utility, but as an active element contributing to the quality of the living space. Using vertical light movement and shifts in chromaticity, the artwork applies natural daily cycle principles to guide the user through the symbolic WORK PLAY SLEEP phases. These personalized phases are programmed to relieve the user of active control, allowing them to be subconsciously guided by the luminaire. At the same time, the project advances the experimental technique of glassblowing into paper molds – CUT JOIN BURN. Previously relying on single-use molds to celebrate each piece's uniqueness and formal diversity, the author now transforms them into a tool for small-batch production. This creates formally unified glass components without losing the distinctive decor defined by the paper honeycomb structure. Through biodynamic lighting and organically shaped glass, the artwork creates an atmosphere connecting the user to a natural rhythm, positively contributing to physiological and psychological well-being.
