Artwork description: In my bachelor‘s thesis on the topic: „Time and space“, I tried to create an object in which these quantities are combined in one utility object, in which the reflective metallized surfaces and the transparency of glass are confronted. This creates a utility item in the form of a clock. The contribution of this work is to point out that we do not always have to perceive optical glass sculpture only as an art object, but it can also have its utility function. The utility function is not visible at first glance, but it can be hidden in it, like second meaning . The observer must look for the intended meaning. In the production of the object, created from the optical glass and the metal, I applied the knowledge from studies of applied art and from my previous practice in the engineering industry.
