Artwork description: In The Inner Other (2026), I explore my inner "Other". Combining powder casting with kiln-blowing, the latter's fluidity is vital. Like glass between solidification and flow, this ungraspable alterity is my core struggle, the fissure separating me from my past, and my only possibility for transformation.
Artwork description long: Title: The Inner Other Dimensions: 47cm × 39cm × 23cm Year: 2026 Technique: Kiln-blowing combined with powder casting Work Description Husserl, in his exploration of the "other mind," once said: within the self, there is the other; within my own nature, there lies alterity. The "Other" is the foreign presence that always coexists with me — the part I cannot fully comprehend, the source of unease, and the fissure through which I become myself. The past has solidified, the future has yet to take form — perhaps struggle is an inevitable subject. I stand between their claims, pulled and merged, trying to establish order in every new moment. Glass hardens in cooling and softens in heating. Even an unknown future no longer remains as it is. The alien, ungraspable "Other" is always with me: it is the point where I separate from my past, the core of my struggle between order and rupture, and the only possibility through which I can transform. Between solidification and flow, glass becomes itself. So do I.
