Artwork description: A series of objects inspired by the rituals of my childhood. I thought of the wild rose branch as a gateway to connection. The problem is that we live in a hurry nowadays. There is no time to look inward, to connect with our fellow human beings in a qualitative way. My aim is to make the viewer interact with my object. I want to create the possibility to wander in optical spaces, to let our own feelings and thoughts pass through us. The experience of passing through imaginary spaces, through the gap, the experience of seeing through symbolizes our connection with another person or with ourselves. My concept was to make my subject perception guiding and timeless. The narrow gap indicates that connecting, receiving states of mind, experiencing our feelings and thoughts, although important, is not an easy task. My passage is an intimate gateway to ourselves and our fellow human beings.
