Artwork description: By casting impressions of everyday objects and nature sources onto window glass, Serim Kwack translates proximity and use into form, employing glass as a surface that preserves marks as fragile traces of habitation. the project originated from Kwack's experience of living in a windowless room in Korea. In the absence of windows, sunlight, and a clear sense of time and space, she became acutely aware of subtle impressions; the ways in which ordinary objects quietly record daily life. Rather than representing these objects directly, the works preserve their imprints by combining window glass with casts taken from everyday items found around the artist. Through these delicate traces, the series invites viewers to consider how everyday presence silently shapes the spaces we inhabit.
