Artwork description: The DIRTYGLASS Project focuses on the research and artistic use of glass waste, which is commonly perceived as a material with no further use. I explore the possibilities of transforming this material through experimental techniques in the fields of casting, glass blowing, and fusing. The work reflects on the aesthetic and ecological potential of waste glass and seeks to redefine its value in an artistic and technological context.
The project presents a series of the author's objects that have been made entirely from waste glass and using his own technological processes, further linking material approaches in design and art with sustainable thinking. To create vases made out of DIRTYGLASS material, Jan used a “Roll-up” technique realized with the glass master Martin Štefánek himself.
Made of 100% waste glass.
