Artwork description: This is one of a series of drawings based on landscapes in Hokkaido, Japan. I was deeply moved by the vast expanse of a glazing pasture beyond which the setting sun was glowing faintly between the two masses of woods. To my eyes, the scene seemed to symbolize a human relationship that was irreparably separated.
