Artwork description long: My diploma project is a four-piece glass sculpture series, each measuring approximately 30 x 15. The series reflects on the impact of digitalization on human thought and perception through the visual language of parametric design. Inspired by early digital architecture and the organic forms of Zaha Hadid, the project explores the transformation between organic and geometric forms. All four sculptures are based on the same folded pattern system. Starting from an organic, soft, wave-like form, the series gradually transforms into a more structured and geometric composition. The pattern functions not only as a surface element, but also determines the spatial twisting and orientation of each sculpture. The creative process involved material experiments with paper, wax, and kaolin-based gypsum mixtures to determine the optimal density of the grid structure. The final sculptures were produced using lost-wax casting techniques, including open casting and flowerpot casting, followed by precise grinding and polishing. Installation: The four sculptures are arranged side by side on a wide pedestal in a strict sequence, allowing viewers to walk alongside the series and experience the gradual structural transformation.
