Artwork description: Water is an integral part of life. I am fascinated by its constant movement, its countless forms that take the shape of waves, streams, currents, and whirlpools. While swimming, I love to feel it surround my body as I float on the surface. Its appearance and structure are so similar to glass, reflecting and transmitting light. In addition, water is also an essential element in glass processing in grinding techniques, cooling its surface during work. Like a stream carves a riverbed, so does a disc cut into glass, guided by the skilled hand of a craftsman. Glass grinding is my passion. I enjoy the process of carving a smooth, intact surface of the material, shaping it, changing its form, the sound of water, and attention to detail. The grind I designed and executed depicts a fragment of a rushing river frozen in motion. This design was inspired by my two interests: water and glass grinding. The set consists of a carafe with a stopper, two glasses, and a platter. The set is decorated with a deep, irregular grind tilted at an angle to resemble constantly flowing water. The tilt gives the impression of an endless vortex.
