Memories of the island

Artwork description: I grew up on a small island in the Seto Inland Sea of Japan. This work expresses the sadness and beauty of being forgotten with the motif of the island of my hometown that once flourished. Both being engraved and forgotten in people's memories are regarded as one of the cycles that exist in nature, and I recognize that it is a very beautiful thing. By baking silver into glass, it represents the time of decadence, and the glass that represents the way it is circulating accumulates light, making you realize that the beauty of nature exists in things that are going out of fashion.
