Artwork description: I created a glass figure using the pâte de verre technique of my adult body with the pattern of a childhood dress I wore at the age when I began to realize what death was. The pattern of my childhood dress on my now adult body expresses that I have gone through certain stages of life since I last wore that dress. The pattern of my child dress seems to mark the starting point from which I began to think about death. Two decades of thinking about death constantly are identified with the idea of The Physical Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone Living. I attempted a contemporary artistic expression on the theme of memento mori.
