Artwork description: In my 'Me-Anders' graduation project, I explored psychological challenges by placing blown glass brains between wooden and glass 'meanders.' The meanders embody the twists in the relationship between myself and the other or in the experience and perception of myself as being labelled different. The artwork I submitted is the third part of the installation. In this work, the brains are colored in various shades of green, symbolizing life, renewal, nature, and energy. The wood, draped like a cloak, gently embraces the scarred yet resilient person. By embracing perfection with kindness, I can stand tall, with my feet firmly on the ground, and face the infinite with an open, free, and renewed outlook on life. It expresses the quote: 'When the being is free from the illusion of obstacles, infinite possibilities are born'.
