Artwork description: This glass sabre was made to showcase what a support of family could be to an individual. Something that is worth protecting and helps them protect themselves. To make this piece i decided on using coldworking techniques resembling ways of traditional smithing.

Artwork description long: In my life family and home, we reside in, plays very important role. They give me a place to come back to, a part in society and anchor to the Earth. I can look at my environment through the prism of their experiences and connections and then confront it with my thoughts. Family lets me get an insight into the complicated civil matters, simple day to day life, the tragedies and how to live after. I tried to condense all of that into a single thing portraying what a family is to me. A piece that I can hold and show, both a symbolic method of protection and something worth protecting. So I bring to this exhibition a sabre, an extention of both my body and my family.
