Artwork description: 《Inorganic Gestation》 is an exploration of formal expression through glass material, depicting the artist's reflection on natural plant forms. By extracting common elements from plant morphology and integrating them with glass, the artist imagines this inorganic material giving birth to crystal-like organic life forms. Utilizing lampworking weaving techniques, the work creates entirely new vitreous botanical structures. The piece is displayed in petri dishes accompanied by glass plants crafted through weaving methods. It consists of 31 colored glass botanical forms, each representing natural organic plant structures in a vitreous language. All are presented using petri dishes as the medium, arranged in assembled configurations inspired by the theme of grotesque plants born in a laboratory setting. This series explores the relationship between materials and life, conveying the artist's subjective reflection on how an inorganic material like glass can give rise to organic life forms.
