Artwork description: "Glass is Frozen Music"
Just like music, the glassblower composes and directs the emergence of a glass object from premature ideas.
Because of my scientific background, I have chosen two closely related basic shapes of vases for my graduation project. One concave, the other convex.
Both side by side fitting into each other, but also in corresponding mathematical proportions. I then continued to work and assembled variations in the composition.
In each of the objects the five lines of the staff are displayed. They run over the object in a playful way. I also play with the light and variations in the incidence of light. This creates curves with light and dark areas on the base.
The pieces are all blown freehand by me with the help of my assistants. They consist of different layers and figurative elements that each gives an accent to the constitution.
