Artwork description: This panel is part of my larger installation “Past, present and future”. After looking into my past and present, I am making a balance for myself in “Future”. The world we live in is still facing quite some challenges. We should not ignore the warning signs presented to us daily but I do however ask myself whether our view is balanced enough. Doesn’t the media, information scare us too much? Shouldn’t people be given more positivity? Our perspective of things is highly influenced by the environment we grew up and live in, the experiences we have had and lately the push of social media. Are we not inclined to look for information and role models that confirm our view? How can we give equal emphasis on the positive side of evolution to inspire people to use and experience it for he good?
