Artwork description long: In my bachelor’s thesis, I explore the theme of the transformation of inspirations drawn from the human body, its aging, and changes throughout life. I chose glass as the medium, as it shares certain qualities with the human body that help translate my ideas into reality. In the first part, I focus on painting on flat glass, while in the second part, I use the technique of cast glass sculpture. Through glass, I express the beauty of the human body by highlighting selected details of the skin’s surface that are often perceived as imperfections. My aim was to capture these parts of the human body in a way that presents them as aesthetically appealing.
