Artwork description: I created this series of works to celebrate the 110th anniversary of my university—— Nanjing University of The Arts.The inspiration comes from the thematic traditional Chinese painting artworks of LiuHaisu, who had been to Huangshan Mountain for painting ten times in 70 years. My practice involves the interaction between decades and the application of natural processes like heat, gravity, and rolling etc.The complexity of artwork is achieved by a series of simple physical steps that add up to be more than the sum of their parts。
