Artwork description: The artwork "Childhood" consists of nine freely blown and formed glass spheres, divided into three sets. The group of objects is created solely in one medium - glass, highlighting its uniqueness, lightness, and stability. Cold processing techniques such as grinding and frosting are used on the glass, creating a velvety effect. The frosted glass surface allows for the addition of drawings, graphic patterns using pencils, markers, or colors, fixed with blown acrylic lacquer.
The three balls, positioned one above the other, symbolize childhood and youth memories, much like soap bubbles - fragile, colorful, with reflections, capturing a fleeting moment. It represents a time when the presence of loved ones - mothers, fathers, or other people - was important in our lives.
The artwork is based on the artist's memories of her childhood, when she created her first artwork together with her parents, and she remembers this time as a vivid childhood memory.
