Born in Between

Artwork description: Born in Between explores the relationship between two materials – their contrasts, similarities, and possibilities for dialogue. Stone, shaped over millions of years by natural processes, embodies the strength of nature through its density and rough surface. Glass, also born from nature, is shaped by the human hand. It follows the stone's contours, imitating and complementing it, revealing its voids, and creating a meeting point between the fragile and the solid, the smooth and the rough, the transparent and the opaque. It is in this very meeting of opposites that a space for encounter emerges – a space where each material retains its identity, yet comes alive only in dialogue with the other. The piece invites reflection on how communication and shared space can arise from differences, forming space for something new and more profound.
