Artwork description: Rooted in the memories of my childhood in a mountain orchard, this work draws inspiration from the fleeting beauty of sunlight filtering through fruit tree leaves—casting shifting, dappled shadows onto the concrete paths below.
To translate this ephemeral moment into form, I created three-dimensional glass structures using lampworking techniques. Each glass unit echoes the simplified shape of a pear blossom, capturing both the clarity and softness of filtered light. When illuminated, the work reveals layered compositions of light and shadow, evoking a sense of depth, movement, and memory. The integration of metalwork enriches the piece, adding both structural support and visual complexity.
Light not only illuminates physical forms, but also serves as an archive of time—recording traces of play, relationships, and growth.Memory is the shadow of time. And glass, like time frozen, preserves memories of the past. This piece is a reflection on how intimate experiences and natural phenomena can be reimagined through material, form, and light.
