Glass blowing is a beautiful talent and a perfect material to explore the boundaries of form and colour in elegant or vulgar perceptions. Working with hot glass is I usually see a reflection of myself. I see the life in the liquid has an inevitable desire to dance. I enjoy watching the glass perform in the heat as I find unexpected events/challenges that often occur when manipulating its properties. This is all part of its fantastic character and uniqueness in this material. I am constantly challenged by hot glass as it is a difficult skill to master but I’m rewarded each time with learning something new and techniques to further develop and express my work for the audience and myself.
