Mgr. Milan Hlaveš, Ph.D. (CZ) is an art historian and curator. A distinguished Czech art theorist, specializes in modern and contemporary glass and ceramics, including porcelain.
He has held key roles in some of the most prominent Czech museums, including the Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague (1998–2020),
and is now part of the Prague City Museum. Milan has been professionally collaborating with the organizers of the Stanislav Libenský Award
since the competition’s inception in 2009.
