Meta Mramor (Ljubljana, 1998) is an early-career Slovenian glass artist interested in the intersection of glass with other media, including ceramics, printmaking, installation, and performance. She earned a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree in Applied Arts, specializing in Glass and Ceramics, from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana, Slovenia (2017–2023). She furthered her studies through exchanges at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague, Czech Republic (2021/2022), and at the Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle in Germany (2022/2023). Recently, she completed an apprenticeship as an assistant in the Department of Glass Art at the Estonian Academy of Fine Arts in Tallinn, Estonia. In the academic year 2023/2024, she worked as a teaching assistant in the Department of Applied Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Ljubljana. She received the Symington Family Estates Glassberries Design Award in 2022 (Portugal) and was nominated for the STRABAG Artaward International 2024 (Austria). Her work has been exhibited both nationally and internationally, including at The Venice Glass Week HUB Under35 (Italy, 2024), the Glass Art Society Member Exhibition (Germany, 2024), and the European Glass Context 2021 (Denmark). Mramor is based in Slovenia and works across Europe.
