Julia Ciułek (b. 2000, Dąbrowa Górnicza) – a glass artist and graduate of the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław. She was also the only Polish artist selected for the prestigious Stanislav Libenský Award 2024 exhibition in Prague. She has received numerous awards and distinctions, including 3rd place at the world’s largest glass art conference – the Glass Art Society (EVOLUTION 2024), 2nd place and the Silver Palette Award, as well as an Honorable Mention in the Inspirations 2024 competition. She is also a finalist of the international Blue Sky Award 2025, organized by Ten Moir Gallery. Her achievements have been recognized with several scholarships, including the Urban Glass Scholarship in New York and multiple Rector’s Scholarships from the Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław. Julia Ciułek’s artistic practice is deeply rooted in personal experience and the reality she observes. Her works reflect on the challenges of contemporary life – both individual and collective – addressing inequalities, systemic tensions, and social struggles. Through the medium of glass, she creates a space for dialogue, understanding, and shared reflection. Her art seeks to transform intimate experiences into universal forms, inviting viewers to confront their own emotions and memories.
