Ibrahim Erdogan (b. 1992 in Batman/ East Turkey) is an artist who mainly deals with the material glass. A large part of his works consist of glass installations and inter-spatial projects. He had his first contact with glass at Anadolu University, where he earned his BFA degree in Glass Art. Since beginning his career in 2011, he has internalized the use of glass as a visual art form. The artist's works come alive through parts from his own life as well as the representation of socio-cultural, queer identity and political elements. He participated in BaSE Istanbul, an internationally renowned exhibition held for the first time in Turkey. His work has been exhibited in New Glass Review'39-41, Bornholm Kunstmuseum, MusVerre, European Glass Context, Corning Museum of Glass, European Museum of Modern Glass.
Ibrahim Erdogan attended as guest to University of Florida, The Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Art and Design in Wroclaw on scholarship and gained his MFA Degree at the Institute for Artistic Ceramics and Glass (IKKG). He lives and continues his artistic career in Koblenz. Ibrahim Erdogan is a member of the Board of Directors as the International Representative of Europe and the Middle East of the Glass Art Society (GAS)
