Grzegorz Bibro

Polish
Bio: Grzegorz Bibro is a visual artist who uses glass in art objects and installations, as well as new media to work with the body in various contexts. In 2015 he received MA in Photography at the University of Arts in Poznań (PL). During the studies he made a series of video performances that were presented in Poland and abroad. However his diploma work was made of neon tubes and that light installation was an impulse to study Glass Art and Design at the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw (PL). Since 2020 he took part in many different glass classes, including those led by visiting professors such as Anna Mlasowsky, Matthew Szosz, Erica Tada and Karin Forslund. In 2022 he graduated master's studies by making a group of blown glass objects that were shown in Venice (IT) during The Italian Glass Week 2022 and additionally received two distinctions: first at The International Glass Exhibition during the Stanislav Libenský Award in Prague (CZ), and the second at the Best Diplomas 2022 show in BWA Gallery in Wrocław (PL). Currently, he continues his studies in the Doctoral School of the Eugeniusz Gepeprt Academy of Art and Design in Wrocław, exploring non-patriarchal masculinity in glass.
