Zixuan Zhang is a material-based , multitalented artist. During her time as a student, she had not only successfully acquired degrees in BA Ceramics Design and MA Ceramics and Glass, but also engaged in various activities and collaborations with professionals in the fields of fashion, 3d and photography. Zixuan’s recent works are primarily composed of glass and ceramics. She draws inspiration from the inherent qualities of the materials she works with, as well as from the conceptual implications of the techniques she employs. Her practice often involves complex combinations of processes and techniques. Through careful material handling and thoughtful design, her works embrace technical challenges while incorporating subtle narratives, often reflecting an inner spirituality.
