Anna Matczak, born in 2001 in northern Poland, is a talented artist specializing in glass and mixed media projects. She graduated from the W. Hasior Secondary Art School in Koszalin and recently obtained her Bachelor's degree in glass from the E. Geppert Academy of Fine Art in Wrocław in 2023.
Anna's artistic focus primarily revolves around hot glass techniques, particularly glass blowing. However, she is also open to exploring and experimenting with mixed media approaches. In 2022, she had the opportunity to broaden her artistic horizons as an exchange student at Wolverhampton School of Art. During the same year, she completed an internship in the Finnish Nuutajärvi glass village, working alongside renowned artist Paula Pääkkönen.
Anna's passion for glass art extends beyond her personal creations. She actively engages with the artistic community by conducting workshops and providing assistance during the Festival of High Temperatures in 2021 and 2023, working alongside acclaimed artists John Moran and Peter Hermansson at her home institution.
Currently, Anna works at the Glass Factory Novosad & Son in Harrachov, Czechia. Her work reflects her dedication to the craft and her continuous exploration of glass as a medium of artistic expression.
