My main interest is artistic research on the material of glass, which incorporates elements of experimental techniques, art historical and historical context. The object of research is glass as a material phenomenon that combines physical, geological, social and cultural agency. With this conceptualization, glass can be interdisciplinarily located in diverse contexts and interacted with as a history co-creating a multiplicity of actor networks.
In my work, I highlight the properties of glass that are often not addressed in fine art - for example, the resonance of glass or its strength and flexibility. I also work with the topic of the energy intensity of glass production, with links to the depletion of natural resources and the impact on the environment. The last area of my artistic practice deals with the etymological context of words associated with the material of glass, which I freely develop, creating fictional stories (videos, literary short stories).
